The City of Terrell and Terrell Chamber of Commerce will host the second Terrell British Bash Celebration and Christmas Market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m November 9,2024 in historic downtown Terrell. Jessie Dodwell, His Majesty’s Deputy Consul General in Houston will kick off the celebration.

“This event will celebrate the unique relationship between Terrell and England which dates back to WWII,” said Sharon Harper, Director of Marketing and Events at the Terrell Chamber of Commerce. The City of Terrell is very proud of the part that it played in the Allied Forces successes during WWII and the continued relationship between Terrell the Terrell community and the British government. The No.1 BFTS Museum will have a booth to showcase Terrell’s unique contribution to this period of history and tours of the museum will be available that day.

Terrell British Bash will feature a vendor village with a Christmas Market feel. Local shops, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, Mini Cooper car show and a Children’s Entrepreneur Market will be set up in downtown Terrell along Nash and Adelaide near City Hall. Live music and entertainment will be a part of the celebration. A Hard Night’s Day, a Beatles tribute band, will headline the event with a performance beginning at 1:30 p.m.

PLAY BALL!” The British Way! The British have always been a sports loving people and their venerable national pastime of cricket holds a special place in their hearts just as baseball does in the hearts of Americans.

Visitors to this year’s British Bash in Terrell on November 9 will have an opportunity to personally experience this aspect of British culture by joining in the short, informal, cricket games that American cricket player and author, Tom Melville, will be conducting throughout the day.

The activity is open to everyone. Absolutely no experience required! So come and discover what “play ball” means to the British people.
