Randy Snow

Memorial Mural

This mural, funded by the Terrell Park and Downtown Improvement Corporation (PADIC) and painted by Josh Mittag, is a timeline depiction of the late Randy Snow (1959-2009). Snow, an aspiring high school tennis player, was paralyzed due to a farming accident at 16. After graduating from Terrell High School, Snow led a successful sports career, becoming the first Paralympian to win medals in track, basketball, and tennis. Snow was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2004. He died in 2009 while volunteering at a wheelchair tennis camp in El Salvador. He was inducted posthumously into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
