Even though it’s the beginning of summer, it’s time to begin talking about the Trot, a time for gratitude, generosity, and coming together as a community. On behalf of The Center, we are excited to announce our 6th Annual Turkey Trot, taking place on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Kaufman.
What began as a local Thanksgiving tradition has grown into one of the area’s most anticipated community events. Last year, we welcomed more than 600 runners and walkers, with participants traveling from across Texas and as far as Vermont to take part in the event. Families, businesses, schools, churches, and community members gather each year to celebrate health, fellowship, and giving back.
Most importantly, proceeds from the Turkey Trot help support the programs and services provided by The Center throughout the year, benefiting individuals and families in our community.
